Following a dramatic landslip original sea defences were destroyed. Urgent coastal protection work was carried out before tides and storms could further erode the toe of the landslide. The inner core was constructed using sand filled Geobags in three stepped tiers overlain with high strength Geolon 120 geosynthetic.
