Wind erosion and waves removed sand covering old contaminated debris near the beach. Fascine mattress technology was applied over a strong Verdant Solutions polypropylene geotextile and filled with sand to permanently contain the waste. The stabilised area was re-vegetated and will appear as natural sand dunes.
